Instant Tethering comes to Android

Google is rolling out these days a new feature called “Instant Tethering”. This update made trough Google Play Services comes first to Pixel and Nexus phones and in the future to more and more phones.

This appears to be an Android-only feature that uses devices connected through a single Google account. So if you happen to have an Android tablet that loses internet, it can ask if you want to go online with your phone’s internet connection. The request for a hotspot goes over Bluetooth, apparently.
